Our Sovereign Philosophy

From Fumbles to Infinite Universes

Every child as a sovereign explorer — no coercion, just endless problem-solving.

Inspired by The Sovereign Child by Aaron Stupple and Logan Chipkin, we treat every child as a sovereign explorer — no coercion, just endless problem-solving.

That means we don’t impose rules for the sake of control. We create environments where messes become problems to solve, where kids vote on fixes in “Fumble Councils,” and where conjecture and refutation — not compliance — drive learning. Our thinking is deeply influenced by the same ideas that shape David Deutsch’s The Fabric of Reality: good explanations, the multiverse of possibilities, and knowledge as the product of problem-solving. Start with Chapter 1 if you want the full story.

Type a rule you might impose (e.g. “Mandatory nap”). See a what-if: coercive outcome vs. sovereign alternative.

Try: “Mandatory nap”, “Screen time limit”, “Must share toys”, “Sit still at table”
